It is somewhat difficult to capture the flag works in still images. They benefit from being seen from different angles, and it isn’t obvious from the stills that they are meant to hang like flags. Untitled (“Then you will see the Deercat…”), 2024, Acrylic on velvet, 35″ x 44″Last year I made quite a few preparatory drawings for the trepanned flags. Nearly all were on black paper. This image shows a few of the 9″ x 12″ drawings. Many others were 12″ x 18″ or larger.
